Hello Smita! We’re delighted to talk to you today. You come from a commerce background and are now excelling as an Abacus faculty. How would you describe your journey so far?
--Srinivas Sarakadam -
It was a wonderful experience upgrading myself in various fields. I have learnt a lot from all the experiences and challenges that came through.
--Smita Jha -
You are a trained Abacus and NLP Faculty. What motivated you to take up this role?
--Srinivas Sarakadam -
I enrolled both my kids in the Abacus Programme. I witnessed the transforming changes in them and found the subject to be very interesting. This attracted me to take up this role and it being a weekend programme making it feasible for me to work.
--Smita Jha -
How is it working with kids and teaching them a new skill?
--Srinivas Sarakadam -
Working with kids is challenging but at the same time, one of the loveliest experiences one can have. When we see the changes in kids once they start learning properly, the satisfaction level is great.
--Smita Jha -
You have been working with Brainobrain International since 2018. How was your experience with them?
--Srinivas Sarakadam -
Experience with Brainobrain has been good enough. They have been supportive as an organisation and made me what I am today.
--Smita Jha -
Based on your experience, how important is Abacus learning for children?
--Srinivas Sarakadam -
Abacus learning builds a skill in kids which enables them to be very quick in their calculations, with accuracy. At the same time, it boosts the confidence level of the kids and brings a positive change in their personality.
--Smita Jha -
Does learning Abacus impact a child’s academic performance?
--Srinivas Sarakadam -
As a parent as well as a faculty, I have seen a lot of improvement in the confidence the kids have. They have started having fun with mental calculations even in schools and love sharing their experiences with their classmates. The concentration skills they have learnt during the program boost their confidence, not only in maths but in other subjects as well. The excelling percentage definitely increases.
--Smita Jha -
You’ve trained over 100 students so far? How does it feel when you see your students doing well?
--Srinivas Sarakadam -
Brainobrain says “Each person is unique.” and every child has taught me a new experience, with their different ways of learning, different personas and different journeys. The satisfaction level of parents when they share the success stories of their kids motivates me to do further
--Smita Jha -
You have won the Brainobrain Faculty Award in 2019. How was the feeling?
--Srinivas Sarakadam -
It was my first award as a Brainobrain Faculty. Receiving it on stage in front of my kids and students, gave me a flashback of my journey as a human.
--Smita Jha -
You’re an inspiration to many people around you. Who do you seek inspiration from?
--Srinivas Sarakadam -
My family is my strongest inspiration but I would like to mention my colleagues who inspired me a lot to join the Brainobrain Family.
--Smita Jha -
What has been your most satisfying moment as an Abacus faculty?
--Srinivas Sarakadam -
Nothing makes a faculty prouder than seeing her students succeed, knowing they have helped give kids the skills they need for the future and to develop themselves
--Smita Jha -
How do you define success?
--Srinivas Sarakadam -
Success according to me, is achieving happiness in whatever field of life you are in. You keep growing everyday in some or other manner remaining positive and motivated towards life.
--Smita Jha -
Any word of advice for students struggling with their academics?
--Srinivas Sarakadam -
Don’t stress yourself in any manner, find out your mistakes, be honest to yourself; this will definitely pave the way in right direction. If your achievements are yours, failures are also yours, so don’t worry and keep working
--Smita Jha -
How would you describe your typical day at work?
--Srinivas Sarakadam -
On a day when everybody has a holiday, we start a working day completing all the household works and starting our batches back-to-back for different levels. It’s like a rollercoaster from one level to another. Parents, students coming out with their queries. We all have our special moments with our students, enjoying the weekends like this.
--Smita Jha -
Is it easy managing your work life and personal life? Do you find the time to do things you love?
--Srinivas Sarakadam -
Nothing is easy in life for anyone, we have to make a balance in whichever field you work. With time I have learnt how to manage my work and life side by side by taking time out to do things I love.
--Smita Jha -
