Hello Satish! It’s great to have this conversation with you! You are an instrumentation and process control expert, can you tell us about your experience in this field?
--Srinivas Sarakadam -
My experience spanning as an Industrial Automation Engineer had been designing, installing, testing & commissioning various process control systems for the ease of operations & maintenance in petrochemical, pharma, power, infrastructure, telecom, oil & gas sectors. I had accumulated cumulatively a wide range of knowledge by exploring into various engineering verticals like mechanical, pneumatic & hydraulic, electrical, instrumentation, OT networks, process controls and automation. I am a certified ‘Functional Safety Engineer’ from TUV, Rheinland licensed bearing no. 13987 for ‘Safety Instrumented Systems’. I am globally authorised to verify, approve and endorse any Safety Instrumented System. Functional safety is most fundamental to every industry to ensure that the work environment is a place free of hazards. The concept of Functional safety is a part of the overall safety system, whether in a process or equipment operation, and any deviation from the regulatory requirement, calls for a corrective mechanism to mitigate failures.

What are your favourite instrumentation and process control tools?
--Srinivas Sarakadam -
Instrumentation and control refer to the analysis, measurement, and control of industrial process variables using process control instruments and software tools such as temperature, pressure, flow, and level sensors, analyzers, electrical and mechanical actuators, Human- Machine Interfaces (HMI), Piping and Instrumentation Diagram (P&ID) systems, automated control systems and more.
--Satish Samineni -
What advice would you give to budding instrumentation, control and automation engineers?
--Srinivas Sarakadam -
The novice engineers shall always remember that automation is to simplify the solutions rather than delivering a complex control mechanism.
--Satish Samineni -
What is Industry 4.0 and how is it going to impact the future?
--Srinivas Sarakadam -
The fourth industrial revolution is ‘Industry 4.0’ and a vast advancement of engineering and technology. Industry 4.0 concepts and technologies can be applied across all types of industrial companies, including discrete and process manufacturing, as well as oil and gas, mining and other industrial segments.

Tell us something about your overseas assignments in Australia, Nigeria, Qatar & the UAE.
--Srinivas Sarakadam -
Australia: A pilot project to automate the process of manufacturing a secret drug for health sector. Nigeria: I dealt with manufacturing of plastic household items like water tanks, cutlery, etc. Qatar: I discharged various projects as an engineering consultant & site supervision services into infrastructure, power, and water for Kahramah, Ashghal, Lusail, etc. UAE: I solely handled the complete network of Dolphin Energy dealing with oil & gas control systems.
--Satish Samineni -
What excites you most about the automation of factories?
--Srinivas Sarakadam -
Automation itself is an exciting field that increases production without compromising on the quality.
--Satish Samineni -
According to you, what are the most prominent skills an automation engineer must excel in?
--Srinivas Sarakadam -
An automation engineer must have a thorough understanding of engineering and technology defined by the terminology.
--Satish Samineni -
From Production Incharge to Project Manager, how would you describe your career graph?
--Srinivas Sarakadam -
It’s a perfect derivation of a literate been educated to be a scholar, aspiring a bright future sustaining the present situation with past struggle.
--Satish Samineni -
Your journey has been truly inspiring! Who do you seek inspiration from?
--Srinivas Sarakadam -
It’s desperation that walked me through the life rather than inspiration.
--Satish Samineni -
As a Project Manager, you’re responsible for the Electrical, Telecom, Instrumentation, Control Systems & Automation projects at Gulf Automation Systems. How do you manage that?
--Srinivas Sarakadam -
Cost control by budgeting, Time control by scheduling and delivery control by requirement.
--Satish Samineni -
Is it easy to manage your time? Do you find the time to do things for yourself?
--Srinivas Sarakadam -
Managing the time is easy by allocating, deputing, distributing and centralising.
--Satish Samineni -
Have you ever experienced failure and how did you overcome it?
--Srinivas Sarakadam -
Failures are part of life. Overcoming it or not really doesn’t matter but for the immediate vision in life past the failure does matters.
--Satish Samineni -
What do you think are existing business opportunities relating to factory automation?
--Srinivas Sarakadam -
The best opportunity relating to factory automation as on date is only trading of equipment.
--Satish Samineni -
Any piece of advice for upcoming entrepreneurs in the factory automation industry?
--Srinivas Sarakadam -
Really NO
--Satish Samineni -
Congratulations on becoming a Director of Cred Matters! What is your vision for the international investment platform?
--Srinivas Sarakadam -
Being an eye for such a visionary platform that creates opportunities mutually for investors and entrepreneurs is bridging the shallow gap that may apprehend the regional economic situation opening more income sources for the competent personalities.
