Hello Kirti, we appreciate the chance to connect with you.... Can you give us a glimpse of your childhood and career?
--Srinivas Sarakadam -
Hello Mr. Srinivas, thank you for the opportunity to connect with you. Certainly, I'd be happy to provide you with a glimpse of my childhood and career. I was born and raised in Kutch, Gujarat, and studied at Mount Carmel Convent School. It was a typical 90s childhood for me and I had always been into academics, thanks to my mother who introduced me to the habit of reading and painting. I further went on to study Hotel Management and later finished my graduation in Business Administration as well. I started my career working as a sales coordinator at a hotel property.
--Kirti Guniyal -
Thank you for sharing your background. . How did you come up with the idea of Studio7 and what is the motivation behind it?
--Srinivas Sarakadam -
While working as a sales coordinator, I was approached by other hotel and restaurant brands to handle their social media. That’s when I decided to give myself the creative freedom that I yearned for; as I thoroughly enjoyed curating marketing campaigns, strategies, and content. When I saw it delivering successful results, I set off on my entrepreneurial journey with Studio7.
--Kirti Guniyal -
That's impressive! It's fascinating to hear how your career took a new direction while working as a sales coordinator. What is your vision for Studio7?
--Srinivas Sarakadam -
Thank you for asking about my vision for Studio7. At Studio7, our primary goal is to create something worthwhile… Through the channels of creativity and technology and provide a solution that connects with the audience of our potential customers.
--Kirti Guniyal -
That's great Kirti, When did you decide that you want to be an entrepreneur?
--Srinivas Sarakadam -
It is a funny story. I recently found my childhood scrapbook and apparently, I had decided as a kid that I want to be an “Entrepreneur”. But the feeling took over me while I was at my first job in 2017.
--Kirti Guniyal -
That's fascinating and amusing at the same time... Now that you're an entrepreneur, How do you plan and strategize accordingly to achieve your goals?
--Srinivas Sarakadam -
I like to break down my long-term goals into milestones and plan them quarterly, monthly, and weekly. It helps me stay on track. When it comes to Studio7, we do have our goal settings and KPIs to measure and work on them to achieve the desired outcomes.
--Kirti Guniyal -
That's a fantastic approach to goal-setting and staying focused... Every person gets advice from some or the other, What is the most impactful advice you've ever received and how did it positively influence You?
--Srinivas Sarakadam -
My father once told me, “Whatever you do, you do it for yourself and you are the one that has to bear the consequences of it.” And this holds true in personal and professional life. It is something that I always keep reminding myself of, that every action is a choice. Yes, we may end up making mistakes but how you react to that is for you to decide. So be wise and prepared to bear the consequences of your actions.
--Kirti Guniyal -
That's a valuable life lesson your father shared with you, and it's evident that you have internalized its significance. We got to know that reading is one of your hobby, How often do you read books and how has it impacted your life?
--Srinivas Sarakadam -
Thank you for asking about my hobby of reading. I ensure reading at least 12 books a year if not more. It has always been a part of my routine; to flip through a few pages before retiring to bed. Reading has the power to open up your mental horizons like nothing else. One tip; always keep a mix of recreational reading and serious reading.
--Kirti Guniyal -
Yes indeed, reading do has power to open up the horizons, What is your most prominent attribute that distinguishes you from others?
--Srinivas Sarakadam -
Being consistent and showing up! There is no replacement for hard work so be consistent with whatever you are building and show up even if at times you are not wanting to, it shows courage.
--Kirti Guniyal -
Thank you for emphasizing the importance of consistency. Kirti you are very clear and confident about yourself while some struggle to maintain it... Can you give some insights on what strategies can be employed to maintain confidence in all circumstances?
--Srinivas Sarakadam -
I think knowing your inner self is the greatest achievement. If you know your own strengths and weaknesses and are willing to work on the later while being ok with your beautifully flawed self; then nothing can stop you from achieving your goals and being confident under all circumstances.
--Kirti Guniyal -
I couldn't agree more with your perspective on knowing your inner self as the greatest achievement. "Client satisfaction" a major component in an entrepreneur's life, What measures do you take to ensure complete satisfaction of your clients?
--Srinivas Sarakadam -
We at Studio7, ensure to have weekly calls/meetings scheduled to get detailed feedback from our clients. I think the best way to grow is to get constructive criticism from the ones who are utilizing your services. It enables us to grow by gaining first-hand insights.
--Kirti Guniyal -
That's great Kirti, As a digital marketer, what strategies do you employ to optimize ad campaigns and maximize return on ad spend (ROAS)?
--Srinivas Sarakadam -
Firstly, before optimizing your ad campaign make sure you have a clear goal and a crisp campaign. For that, you need to analyze your competition and understand your customer. Once the campaign is active, make sure to place it correctly, track performance, revise, and repeat to generate the maximum return. If you are unsure where to begin, start small then scale up.
--Kirti Guniyal -
Between skills and experience, which one holds greater significance or superiority according to you Kirti?
--Srinivas Sarakadam -
Skills show your ability whereas Experience provides you insight. I wouldn’t say one holds superiority over the other because at times freshers with no experience might prove to be quite useful with their skills. Both are extremely important as long as one has a learning mindset and an accepting attitude.
--Kirti Guniyal -
I completely agree with your perspective Kirti. What was the experience like transitioning from hotel management to digital marketing as a Career?
--Srinivas Sarakadam -
It was not that difficult as I was always inclined towards sales, marketing, and developing business strategies. The only thing that I do miss at times is being on the floor and interacting with a lot of people on a daily basis. It is an industry that revolves around people and delivering experiences. I miss listening to guest experiences & stories and that is why now at Studio7, we deliver creative experiences & narrate your brand stories… Do find us and feel free to reach out! https://linktr.ee/studi07
