The acceptance of EVs and their sales are growing quicker every day in India, where the EV revolution is still in its infancy. EVs are the way of the future, and early adopters no longer have to be the only ones with them.

EVs are one of the types of vehicles whose marketplaces are growing the fastest. That high growth rate is anticipated to continue as governments introduce various incentives and programmes to encourage the sale of EVs.

The development of electric vehicles (EVs) has become a sign of optimism for the entire world. Electric vehicles, which promise to eliminate the need for traditional fossil fuel vehicles, are anticipated to reduce global pollution and eventually contribute to the achievement of zero emissions within the next 40 years.

If we examine the statistics, India has had a 333% increase in year over year sales of electric vehicles, and this is occurring as we are recovering from a devastating pandemic. This clearly demonstrates how interested and open the public is to adopting electric vehicles, provided that the new mode of transportation meets the needs of the majority.

If India wants to realise its true potential of becoming a $200 billion-plus EV market by 2030 and emerge as a global exporter of clean transportation solutions, a number of critical areas need to be studied.

The development of high-current charging infrastructure is encouraged by shorter charging periods, and high-voltage drivers will spend less time waiting at charging stations as a result.

Making sure that EVs can effectively handle the difficulties of ultrafast charging is a challenge for EV designers. Every component, including the charging inlet, connectors, battery, and wiring, must be made to withstand the higher temperatures brought on by high-voltage and quick charging.

The other major issue is battery chemistry. Electric vehicles have recently caught fire and had their batteries depleted quickly. Battery technology has not kept pace with electric vehicle technologies.

Battery manufacturers are still embracing lithium-ion technology to the fullest extent. Graphite, aluminium-solid fuel cells, and other technologies that are superior, more versatile, safe, and more suited are, on the other hand, finding an increasing market.

Electric cars have not only been identified as vehicles that use environmentally friendly business technology but also as the most advanced form of transportation. On the western side of the globe, driverless cars are now a reality thanks to integrated AI, digital components, and the Internet of Things.

Future megamarkets like India must embrace the automation trends. Long-distance travels can be made more enjoyable by eliminating driver tiredness and the risks it presents, but driverless cars can also reduce accidents.

However, they also enable folks who have physical limitations to move around. People with impairments will be able to commute independently and with confidence thanks to autonomous vehicles.
