Dimitra, a blockchain-based platform for agricultural technology, has partnered with Alkaff, an international green coffee trading company based in Sicily, to ensure compliance with the European Union Deforestation Regulation (EUDR). This collaboration leverages Dimitra’s EUDR Due Diligence Service (DDS) platform, which utilizes artificial intelligence (AI) and blockchain technology to manage and analyze farmer data, helping to meet the EUDR requirements set to be implemented by the end of 2024.
Dimitra’s DDS platform simplifies data management for green coffee traders, roasters, and merchants in Italy by receiving, managing, analyzing, and storing supply chain data. It ensures seamless communication with authorities and other supply chain operators. The platform prepares Risk Assessments and Due Diligence Reports, which are uploaded to the EU Information System to document compliance. Dimitra’s DDS can be used as a standalone system or integrated into third-party Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) environments.
Alkaff will use this tailored DDS platform to map its extensive supply chain, support its suppliers in acquiring farm-level data, and analyze this data to ensure transparency and traceability. Dimitra will fully integrate into Alkaff’s software and provide traceability data directly to its customer-facing applications. This partnership highlights Alkaff’s commitment to innovation and EUDR compliance through advanced digital tools.
