They've partnered with HIMA West Asia FZE, based in Dubai, to delve into the railway signalling business. HIMA holds a prestigious position globally as a leading provider of safety-related automation solutions, particularly in railway and process industries. This alliance marks a strategic move for BHEL, aiming to bolster its presence and offerings within the Indian Railways sector.
According to regulatory filings, BHEL's agreement with HIMA West Asia FZE, a subsidiary of HIMA Paul Hildebrandt GmbH, Germany, focuses specifically on railway signalling. BHEL boasts a history of supplying various railway components to Indian Railways, including locomotives, propulsion systems, and traction transformers.
