Canada's Comtech Group Joins Accenture: A Win-Win Partnership

Accenture (NYSE: ACN) has completed its acquisition of Comtech Group, a consulting and program management company specializing in infrastructure projects across Canada and the United States. Specific financial details of the deal remain undisclosed.

Founded in 1994 and headquartered in Toronto, Comtech Group serves clients spanning various sectors, including transportation, infrastructure, industrial manufacturing, construction, and power and utilities, in both the public and private sectors. The company plays a vital role in facilitating the successful execution of large-scale, long-term infrastructure projects, encompassing areas such as urban transportation, automotive manufacturing processes, renewable and nuclear power, and building rehabilitation. Comtech Group's workforce of approximately 300 professionals brings a wealth of experience in consulting and project management, covering construction management, facility and manufacturing engineering, and process control automation. The company maintains offices in both Canada and the United States.

With the addition of Comtech Group, Accenture further strengthens its capital projects expertise in Canada. This expanded offering encompasses services related to project structuring, estimating and planning, digital transformation, real-time monitoring of project progress, and comprehensive support for clients in the management and execution of all project phases. Accenture is committed to assisting clients in the development of smarter, more efficient infrastructure for energy transition, transportation, and production from the project's inception. Similar to its collaboration with Anser Advisory, Comtech Group becomes part of Accenture's digital engineering and manufacturing service, known as Industry X.

Aaron Saint, North America lead for Industry X at Accenture, emphasized the importance of this acquisition, stating, "With Comtech Group, we will help our clients deliver mission-critical infrastructure projects on time and on budget. This requires industry expertise, 'boots on the ground' know-how, and increasingly, artificial intelligence (AI) and other digital capabilities to better plan, measure, and monitor how these projects are executed. By combining Accenture and Comtech Group capabilities, we can better help deliver on our clients' ambitious infrastructure programs."

Accenture is a leading global professional services company dedicated to assisting prominent businesses, governments, and organizations worldwide in enhancing their digital core, optimizing operations, accelerating revenue growth, and improving citizen services. The company, with a global workforce of approximately 733,000 professionals, operates across more than 120 countries. Accenture is known for its expertise in technology, cloud, data, and artificial intelligence, and it enjoys strong ecosystem relationships. Its extensive range of services, solutions, and assets spans across Strategy & Consulting, Technology, Operations, Industry X, and Song.
