Capgemini to Invest ₹1,000 Crore in New Technology and Innovation Facility in Chennai

Capgemini plans to invest ₹1,000 crore over the next three years to establish a new 5,000-seat facility in Chennai. This facility, covering nearly 6 lakh sq ft, will attract top talent in southern India and support Capgemini’s specialist teams in financial services, engineering, digital, cloud, and AI. Located in Sipcot, Siruseri, it will foster a collaborative work environment with advanced engineering labs, customer experience centers, and specialized onboarding rooms. Completion is expected by April 2027, showcasing Capgemini's commitment to innovation and sustainable growth.

Vijay Chandramohan, Capgemini's Vice President and Head of Corporate Real Estate Services for APAC and the Middle East, expressed excitement about the project, highlighting the company's dedication to local talent and community well-being. This expansion aligns with Capgemini’s strategic vision and supports efforts to boost economic growth in Tamil Nadu.

TRB Rajaa, Tamil Nadu's Minister for Industries, highlighted Chennai's growing reputation as a global technology investment hub. He emphasized that the new facility will not only reflect the high quality of local talent but also contribute to the state's goal of becoming a trillion-dollar economy by 2030. This investment is a significant step towards achieving that vision.
