Chalhoub Group Partners with Italian Luxury Brand in New Venture

Luxury distributor Chalhoub Group has formed a joint venture with Italian fashion conglomerate OTB Group to enhance the latter's presence in the Gulf region. OTB, known for its prestigious brands like Diesel, Jil Sander, Maison Margiela, Marni, and Viktor&Rolf, will collaborate with Dubai-based Chalhoub Group to make significant investments in retail and e-commerce.

This partnership aims to open at least 15 new retail stores across the UAE, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and Kuwait over the next five years, expanding OTB's footprint in key department and concept stores throughout the region.

Renzo Rosso, OTB founder and chairman, expressed enthusiasm about introducing their luxury brands to the Middle East, highlighting the region as a significant market amid global economic challenges. Chalhoub Group, with its extensive influence in the luxury market and a portfolio of over 450 international brands, will leverage its expertise to support this expansion.

The Gulf region presents a crucial growth opportunity for international fashion brands, making this partnership a strategic move for both OTB and Chalhoub Group. As they work together, they aim to meet the rising demand for luxury goods in the Middle East, reinforcing their market presence and driving significant growth in the region.
