Aligned with the UAE’s 'Year of Sustainability,' the Dubai Chamber of Commerce has introduced a new ESG Label, developed by its Centre for Responsible Business. This initiative is designed to help organizations assess their ESG readiness and maturity, promote sustainable practices, and boost their recognition and growth. Crafted through an extensive evaluation by internationally certified experts, the ESG Label integrates global and regional regulatory landscapes and reporting frameworks to ensure it meets high international standards. The development process involved input from the business community to tailor the framework to both local and global ESG reporting needs.
The ESG Label is available to organizations of all sizes that have been operational for at least two years. Companies that earn the label can benefit from enhanced alignment with ESG best practices, improved brand reputation, and increased investor value. The framework benchmarks ESG practices against key parameters and regional and global peers, promoting greater ESG ownership within businesses. Awarded certificates are valid for one year, reflecting a commitment to continuous improvement and adherence to evolving ESG standards.
ESG has become a strategic priority, with companies increasingly adopting transparent reporting, reducing environmental impact, and enhancing social responsibility. The Dubai Chamber’s recent virtual roadshow attracted 224 participants, highlighting the benefits of the ESG Label and the application process. The Chamber’s Centre for Responsible Business continues to support companies in adopting best ESG practices through various platforms and tools.
