Dubai Chamber of Commerce has announced the formation of the Georgian Business Council, aimed at fostering economic partnerships between Dubai and Georgia. This initiative is a significant step in promoting collaboration and exploring joint opportunities between the private sectors of both regions. With an 8.5 percent growth in non-oil bilateral trade, reaching AED 1.76 billion last year, Dubai is becoming increasingly attractive to Georgian companies and investors.
As of mid-2024, the number of active Georgian companies registered with Dubai Chamber has reached 89, indicating a robust interest in the Dubai market. The inaugural annual general meeting of the Georgian Business Council focused on enhancing cooperation and organizing bilateral business events, alongside knowledge and experience exchange.
Maha Al Gargawi, Vice President of Business Advocacy at Dubai Chambers, emphasized the council’s role in bolstering bilateral relations and creating an effective ecosystem for networking and collaboration. This council will facilitate easier business dealings for Georgian companies in Dubai, acting as a platform for advocacy and support. The initiative is part of a broader strategy by Dubai Chamber to establish more country-specific Business Councils, enhancing the representation of diverse nationalities and promoting trade and investment in the emirate.
