Dubai Chamber of Digital Economy Initiates Mobile App Development Courses for Emirati Talent

The Dubai Chamber of Digital Economy, one of the three chambers operating under Dubai Chambers, has unveiled the foundational phase of the Emirati Training Academy, a cutting-edge online training program. This initiative is a vital component of the 'Create Apps in Dubai' project, aiming to equip talented UAE nationals with the knowledge and skills essential for thriving in the field of mobile application development.

The self-paced courses serve as an extension of the program's initial phase, which was introduced in August. These courses offer a comprehensive learning experience with two distinct tracks, focusing on Android and iOS app development. Participants have the flexibility to complete one or both tracks, and upon successful completion of this phase, they can pursue a course leading to a globally recognized nanodegree certificate.

Saeed Al Gergawi, Vice President of the Dubai Chamber of Digital Economy, expressed his enthusiasm for the Emirati Training Academy's positive reception, and he highlighted the upcoming foundational phase, which will deliver a detailed curriculum for designing and developing apps. Al Gergawi emphasized that this initiative is a pivotal component of the 'Create Apps in Dubai' project, aligning with Dubai's vision to become a prominent player in the global digital sector. The initiative reflects a commitment to seizing future opportunities and nurturing a highly qualified cadre of Emirati coders and app developers. This, in turn, positions Dubai as a dynamic and diversified technology-enabled digital hub on a global scale.

The foundational phase of the program is designed to equip participants with the technical skills necessary for mobile application development, as well as expertise in user experience and user interface design. The comprehensive curriculum goes beyond Android and iOS app development methodologies, offering specialized courses in app marketing, monetization strategies, rapid prototyping, and introductions to key programming languages.

Participants will benefit from expert guidance through workshops led by Emirati tutors, enabling them to translate their skills and innovative ideas into viable businesses.

The overarching objective of the program is to cultivate well-rounded developers with a deep understanding of market dynamics and user needs. This preparation equips them to face the real-world challenges encountered in the app development landscape. Learners will acquire the skill set required to become proficient Android and iOS developers, significantly enhancing their career prospects in the broader technology sector.

The Emirati Training Academy is exclusively available to UAE nationals of all age groups residing in any of the seven emirates. Its purpose is to educate and upskill Emiratis, empowering them to embark on entrepreneurial ventures.

This initiative underscores Dubai's commitment to fostering local talent and enhancing its presence on the global digital stage.
