Dubai Chambers Draws in 101 Digital Startups in 2023

Dubai Chambers' digital economy division successfully drew 101 digital startups to the city in the initial nine months of 2023, aiming to cultivate a vibrant entrepreneurial landscape within the emirate.

This strategic move aligns with Dubai's ambitious Economic Agenda (D33) as the chamber intensifies efforts to bolster the city's digital economy. His Excellency Omar Sultan Al Olama, Minister of State for AI, Digital Economy, and Remote Work Applications, and Chairman of Dubai Chamber of Digital Economy, underscored the importance of the private sector in fueling sustainable economic growth.

Highlighting the chamber's commitment to attracting top-tier digital companies and global tech talent to Dubai, Minister Al Olama emphasized their dedication to nurturing startups and SMEs throughout their growth trajectory. The focus remains on facilitating connections between businesses and investors, both locally and internationally.

Amidst extensive outreach efforts across the Middle East, Africa, Asia, and Europe, the Dubai Chamber of Digital Economy conducted 24 impactful roadshows and business trips. These initiatives served as a vital platform to showcase Dubai's exponential growth prospects and the advantages of conducting business within the emirate.

Q3 2023 witnessed the launch of key programs by the Dubai Chamber of Digital Economy. The 'Create Apps in Dubai' initiative introduced the Emirati Training Academy, aiming to train over 1,000 Emiratis in mobile app development by 2025. Additionally, the chamber facilitated a groundbreaking meeting between 21 Palestinian startups and Dubai's market, resulting in 237 fruitful B2B meetings.

The recent Dubai Business Forum convened 2,000 CEOs, investors, and global businesses, underscoring the theme 'Transforming Economic Power: Dubai and the Future of Global Trade.' This event served as a pivotal platform for global engagement and highlighted Dubai's pivotal role in shaping the future of global trade and economic transformation.
