Dubai Chambers Hosts 2023 Diplomatic Circle Dinner, Fostering Economic Cooperation

Dubai Chambers recently hosted the 2023 edition of the Diplomatic Circle Dinner, an annual event serving as a platform for engaging with top officials, ambassadors, consul generals, and commercial attachés in the UAE. This event aims to strengthen channels of economic cooperation between Dubai and the global community.

The event took place at the esteemed Atlantis The Royal on the Palm Jumeirah, where senior diplomats came together to share insights into Dubai's business environment, connect with Dubai Chambers members, and delve into the promising trade and investment opportunities within the emirate.

The proceedings commenced with a warm welcome speech from His Excellency Abdul Aziz Abdulla Al Ghurair, Chairman of Dubai Chambers, who addressed a distinguished audience comprising more than 100 members of the diplomatic community. His Excellency underscored the significant role played by ambassadors, consul generals, and commercial attachés in the UAE in promoting international collaboration and fostering mutually beneficial partnerships. He commented, "The diplomatic community remains a key strategic partner in our ongoing efforts to strengthen Dubai's position as a leading global business hub, in line with the vision of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai."

During the Diplomatic Circle event, an insightful panel discussion was conducted, featuring prominent speakers such as Mohammed Ali Rashed Lootah, President and CEO of Dubai Chambers; Abdulla Al Hashmi, Chief Operating Officer – Parks and Zones at DP World GCC; and Stephen Moss, Regional CEO – Middle East, North Africa, and Türkiye at HSBC Bank. The panel delved into Dubai's role in regional and global trade, shedding light on the emirate's strategic initiatives and their potential to benefit regional and global economies. This interactive dialogue provided a valuable platform for attendees to engage with the speakers and gain insights into the ambitious efforts taken by their organizations to drive mutually beneficial growth in bilateral trade and investments.
