Dubai International Chamber, part of Dubai Chambers, has opened a representative office in Almaty, Kazakhstan, to strengthen trade and investment relations between Dubai and Kazakhstan. This expansion is part of Dubai's broader initiative to enhance global economic ties. The new office brings the total number of international representative offices to 32 and supports Dubai's ambition to have 50 offices worldwide by 2030. The Dubai Global initiative aims to attract foreign direct investment, international businesses, and talent, while providing Dubai-based companies with opportunities to enter key global markets.
The launch reflects the growing economic partnership between Dubai and Kazakhstan, evidenced by an 82% increase in non-oil trade, which reached AED 14 billion last year. The first nine months of this year also saw 187 new Kazakhstan companies join the Dubai Chamber, boosting the total number to 668 members by September.
H.E. Mohammad Ali Rashed Lootah, President and CEO of Dubai Chambers, emphasized that expanding the global office network strengthens Dubai’s role as a key business hub. The representative offices play a vital role in attracting investments, promoting trade, and fostering business partnerships that align with Dubai’s Economic Agenda (D33).
The Almaty office will support Kazakhstan’s business community, attract investors from Kazakhstan and Central Asia, and promote Dubai’s competitive advantages. It will offer vital market insights and help Kazakhstan-based companies looking to expand to Dubai, while also assisting Dubai companies exploring opportunities in Kazakhstan through business introductions and partnerships.
