Dubai Municipality Launches New Model with Private Sector for Shared Government Centers

05 Nov, 2024

Dubai Municipality in the UAE has launched a new business model in partnership with the private sector to manage shared government centers, enhancing collaboration and client service levels. The Al Kifaf Centre is the first to adopt this model, achieving a 70% reduction in operational expenses and a notable increase in operational efficiency. In 2024, the number of services provided at Al Kifaf grew to 123, marking a 98% rise from 2023. This expansion improves customer service, strengthens partnerships, and responds more effectively to client needs.

This step aligns with Dubai Municipality's commitment to enhancing customer experiences, expediting transactions, and optimizing resources. By involving partners from government, semi-government, and private sectors, the Municipality aims to create a seamless service environment. Dawoud Al Hajri, Director General of Dubai Municipality, emphasized that this initiative reflects the directives of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum to establish an integrated system for providing pioneering government services. Al Hajri noted that the new business model highlights the Municipality’s dedication to private sector collaboration.

Manal Bin Yaroof, Director of Customer Happiness at Dubai Municipality, highlighted that Al Kifaf Centre’s reactivation with private sector involvement now offers 123 services from various sectors, providing a comprehensive experience for clients. The growing number of partners promises to expand service offerings even further in the future.

Beneficiary entities in these shared centers must meet high service standards as per Dubai’s excellence programmes. The Municipality conducts ongoing evaluations to ensure service quality and customer satisfaction. The new model will extend to other shared government centers, with additional phases underway, supporting Dubai Municipality’s mission to deliver exceptional, client-centered services throughout the city.
