Dubai’s DET and Amazon Collaborate to Launch Accelerator for SMEs

The partnership between Dubai’s Department of Economy and Tourism (DET) and Amazon UAE introduces the 'DET x Amazon Accelerator,' designed to empower SMEs in Dubai. This strategic initiative aims to strengthen local businesses' international competitiveness by offering advanced digital tools, mentorship, and resources. It's part of the Dubai Traders initiative under the Dubai Economic Agenda D33, showcasing the importance of collaboration between government and private sectors.

Through this accelerator, SMEs gain access to Amazon’s expansive network, workshops, and guidance, helping them expand operations beyond the UAE. Amazon's tailored support includes personalized assistance from trusted service providers, enabling businesses to maximize growth opportunities, streamline account registration, and optimize Amazon Advertising strategies.

A dedicated "Shop Local" storefront will increase visibility for sellers, complemented by Amazon Ads credits for launching targeted campaigns. This initiative aligns with D33’s goals of fostering entrepreneurship and SME growth, positioning Dubai as a hub for global business opportunities.

With a vision to feature products from 100,000 businesses on Amazon by 2026, this accelerator aims to drive significant growth for Dubai's SME sector, reinforcing its role in supporting the digital transformation and expansion of local businesses into global markets.
