Dubai's IoT Advancement: Viasat, MinFarm, and Global Beam Telecom Pioneer Satellite Hub

Viasat, Inc. (NASDAQ: VSAT), a prominent global communications company, has revealed an exciting development in collaboration with ELEVATE partners MinFarm Tech Ltd and Global Beam Telecom LLC. Together, they are establishing a groundbreaking facility in Business Bay, Dubai, UAE, dedicated to IoT-over-satellite innovation.

Unveiled at Viasat's ELEVATE partner event held on October 11-12 in London, this pioneering hub, set to open its doors in November, represents a significant milestone as the first of its kind in the region. The facility is designed to provide customers with a unique opportunity to test a wide array of end-to-end IoT solutions in a hands-on environment, engage in discussions regarding their specific business requirements, and develop turnkey solutions for procurement.

The collaboration leverages Viasat's extensive global satellite connectivity capabilities, combined with the technological expertise of MinFarm and Global Beam Telecom. Together, this partnership empowers customers to access tailor-made solutions,

including hardware and connectivity packages, meticulously crafted to address their distinct needs and use cases.

The central objective of this hub is to simplify the process of selecting the most suitable satellite-enabled IoT solutions to enhance businesses, making this transformative technology more accessible. Customers will benefit from choice and consultation throughout the procurement process, a strategy designed to cater to a wide range of industries within the MENA (Middle East and North Africa) region, including oil & gas, utilities, and water management companies. Furthermore, the hub will serve as a collaborative space where customers and IoT industry experts can come together to implement IoT-over-satellite solutions.

Through the ELEVATE program, Viasat has been instrumental in bringing together leading solutions and distribution partners from around the world, fostering a network for business collaboration that fosters innovation and growth. MinFarm and Global Beam Telecom, in joining this program, have gained access to Viasat's extensive global satellite network and the opportunity to exchange knowledge and insights, laying the foundation for the launch of this groundbreaking hub.

Andy Kessler, Vice President, Enterprise and Land Mobile at Viasat, highlighted the significance of this partnership as a testament to how Viasat ELEVATE supports innovation and new business development by uniting global experts to expand the offerings powered by satellite technology. He emphasized the potential of this initiative to drive increased IoT adoption across MENA-based customers, providing them with the essential oversight of their operations and field efficiencies.
