Emma Hosking-Williams and Stuart Macdougall Appointed Partners at BDO

Anna Draper, Head of People, Culture, and Purpose at BDO, shared her thoughts on the recent appointments of Emma Hosking-Williams and Stuart Macdougall as partners at the firm. Emma Hosking-Williams joins BDO as a partner within the private capital tax team at their London office. She  significant experience working with ultra-high-net-worth individuals, family businesses, trust and corporate service providers,  and large multinational corporations. Hosking-Williams specializes in offering bespoke, holistic advice tailored to the unique needs of her clients. Prior to joining BDO, Emma was a partner at EY, another major player in the Big Four accounting firms, also based in London.

Stuart Macdougall brings 20 years of experience in the accounting industry, with 17 of those years spent at PwC. He started his career as a chartered accountant at PwC before transitioning to Saffery, where he served as a partner for the last two years. Based in BDO’s Glasgow office, Macdougall specializes in ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance), working with entrepreneurs, private equity-backed companies, and large international groups. During his tenure at Saffery, he led the entrepreneur national practice group.

Macdougall expressed his enthusiasm for the new role, commenting on LinkedIn, "I’m delighted to share that I’m starting a new position as partner at BDO in Scotland!" His expertise in ESG and entrepreneurial ventures aligns well with BDO’s commitment to providing comprehensive services to its diverse clientele.

These strategic appointments demonstrate BDO’s ongoing commitment to enhancing its service capabilities and broadening its expertise across key sectors. The addition of Hosking-Williams and Macdougall to the partnership team reflects BDO's ambition to strengthen its leadership and foster growth within the firm.
