Exploring Business Opportunities: Dubai Chamber's East Africa Trade Mission

Dubai International Chamber, operating within the Dubai Chambers umbrella, is gearing up for an exclusive trade mission to East Africa, scheduled for November. This mission will see the chamber leading a delegation of Dubai-based businesses to Kenya and Rwanda as part of its 'New Horizons' initiative. The primary objective of this initiative is to provide support for its members looking to expand their operations into international markets.

To prepare for the mission, Dubai International Chamber hosted a special briefing session at its headquarters, which was presided over by H.E. Mohammad Ali Rashed Lootah, the President and CEO of Dubai Chambers. During this meeting, the participants delved into the mission's program details, which will involve business-to-business (B2B) meetings between Dubai companies and their counterparts in Kenya and Rwanda. The delegation also received a comprehensive overview of the economic landscape in these two African nations.

The 'New Horizons' initiative is a reflection of Dubai International Chamber's commitment to assisting its members in establishing their commercial presence in new markets. This initiative aligns with the chamber's strategic priority, which aims to support the international expansion of the private sector, ultimately boosting non-oil foreign trade to AED 2 trillion by 2026.

H.E. Mohammad Ali Rashed Lootah, President and CEO of Dubai Chambers, emphasized the chamber's dedication to providing growth opportunities for its members in strategic global markets. The mission's key objectives include organizing bilateral investor meetings to explore economic partnerships and strategic collaborations in targeted sectors. The chamber is keen to ensure that Dubai-based companies leverage the investment potential available in these promising markets. The visit encompasses a range of activities, including B2B meetings, field visits, as well as dialogues and discussions with representatives from the public and private sectors in the host countries.

The 'New Horizons' initiative orchestrates specialized trade missions to specific global markets, hosting meetings and events to explore investment opportunities, establish economic partnerships, and foster new trade agreements. These missions facilitate valuable engagements with leaders from both the public and private sectors, thereby enhancing international partnerships and fostering business growth. Dubai International Chamber has set an ambitious goal of aiding 100 Dubai businesses in their global expansion efforts by the end of 2024.

Dubai Chambers continues to demonstrate its unwavering commitment to supporting its members' global expansion aspirations to strategic markets worldwide. By attracting foreign investment and international companies to the emirate, the chamber is contributing to enhancing Dubai's standing as a prominent global hub for business and investment.
