The Dubai Business Conference, organized by the Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ICCI), witnessed a substantial gathering of over 400 attendees, comprising investors and business leaders from Pakistan, the United Arab Emirates (UAE), and various global regions. The primary objective of the event was to showcase the trade and investment potential across diverse sectors of the national economy, emphasizing joint ventures and investment-friendly policies to attract foreign direct investment.
During the conference, Dr Abdul Rahman Al Mohani from the UAE Ministry of Commerce underscored Dubai's cosmopolitan appeal, boasting a population representing over 200 nationalities. He highlighted the city's modern business systems, abundant trade opportunities, and a secure investment environment. Dr. Al Mohani commended Pakistan's investment potential, particularly in sectors like agriculture and IT, advocating for strengthened bilateral trade and investment cooperation between the two countries.
ICCI President Ahsan Zafar Bakhtawari expressed gratitude for the conference's organization and highlighted the participation of over 170 Pakistani delegates, predominantly from Rawalpindi and Islamabad.
Pakistan's Ambassador to the UAE, Faisal Niaz Tirmizia, commended the ICCI's initiative to attract investment to Pakistan, expressing confidence that the conference would stimulate Emirati investment, thereby fortifying bilateral relations. Sheika Qasimi, a prominent member of the UAE royal household, graced the event, along with a significant presence of Pakistani, Arab, and non-Arab businessmen from Dubai.
To conclude the conference, shields were distributed among the guests and participants, symbolizing the collaborative spirit and successful exchange of ideas and opportunities.
