The India-Israel Business Forum is set to bring together top business leaders, policymakers, and industry stakeholders from both countries in New Delhi to explore trade and investment opportunities. The forum will focus on strengthening economic cooperation, technological collaboration, and expanding bilateral trade relationships across multiple sectors.
A high-level Israeli business delegation, led by Israeli Minister of Economy and Industry Nir M Barkat, will participate in discussions. Representatives from key sectors, including technology, manufacturing, healthcare, agri-tech, food processing, defense, homeland security, water management, logistics, and retail, will engage in talks aimed at fostering cross-sector partnerships.
The India-Israel CEO Forum will also take place alongside the business forum, providing a platform for industry leaders to discuss policy frameworks, investment opportunities, and emerging business trends. The discussions will center around technology collaboration, research and development, innovation-driven growth, and trade diversification to strengthen bilateral ties.
Key focus areas include deepening cooperation in AI, digital transformation, and smart manufacturing. Israeli investments in India have been expanding, particularly in renewable energy, water technology, defense, and manufacturing. Indian companies have also made significant strides in Israel, notably in the pharmaceuticals, IT, and infrastructure sectors.
Despite the growing economic engagement, bilateral trade between India and Israel declined to USD 6.53 billion in 2023-24 from USD 10.77 billion in 2022-23. The summit aims to reinvigorate trade relations and identify new avenues for economic growth. By facilitating collaboration across industries, the forum will play a crucial role in strengthening commercial and strategic ties between India and Israel.
