Infosys Collaborates with Metro Bank for Digital Operations Upgrade

Indian IT giant Infosys has announced a long-term collaboration with UK-based Metro Bank to digitize the bank's operations. This partnership will leverage Infosys Topaz, an AI-first offering, to enhance Metro Bank’s digital capabilities, improve automation, refine data management, and embed advanced AI functionalities. The initiative aims to increase operational efficiency and reduce costs for the bank.

Metro Bank CEO Daniel Frumkin expressed confidence in the transformation, stating that while the business will evolve significantly, the bank's commitment to high-quality service and customer focus will remain unchanged. This collaboration is part of Metro Bank's strategy to achieve £80 million in annual cost savings and to enhance its return on tangible equity by 2027.

The partnership signifies a shared commitment to improving customer engagement and integrating both physical and digital banking experiences. Dennis Gada, Infosys' EVP and Global Head of Banking and Financial Services, emphasized the goal of accelerating growth and value creation for Metro Bank through innovative solutions. This collaboration positions both organizations to effectively address the challenges of the evolving banking landscape while prioritizing customer needs.
