The recent Italy-Libya Business Forum, inaugurated by Prime Ministers Giorgia Meloni and Abdelhamid Dbeibah, proved to be a remarkable success, fostering collaboration between the two nations. Key figures in attendance included Adolfo Urso, Italy's Minister of Enterprise and Made in Italy, and Mohammed HuejHuej, the Minister of Economy of Libya's National Unity Government. During the event, held on October 29, eight agreements were signed across various sectors, a significant achievement that highlights the commitment to mutual development. The Italian Embassy in Libya shared updates on X, emphasizing the diverse range of participants. Over a hundred Italian entrepreneurs, experts, and educators attended, reflecting the strong interest in establishing and expanding business opportunities in Libya.
The forum included sectoral discussions focusing on key areas such as energy, infrastructure, agriculture, fisheries, and health, alongside a segment dedicated to university and technical education. As part of the program, the Italian business delegation visited the historic site of Leptis Magna, where they were accompanied by Italian and Libyan archaeologists. This visit not only highlighted Libya's rich cultural heritage but also fostered a deeper understanding of the potential for tourism and cultural exchange. The Italian ambassador to Libya, Gianluca Alberini, played a pivotal role in this visit, emphasizing the strong ties between Italy and Libya.
