The vibrant tradition of the Little Italy StreetFest is making its triumphant comeback for its 18th consecutive year in Schenectady. Sponsored by The Little Italy Business Association, this annual event promises a day brimming with festivities, featuring live music, shopping, delectable food, and an array of entertainment.
Event Details: Scheduled to unfold on Saturday, September 9, the Little Italy StreetFest will captivate attendees from noon until 8 p.m. With a diverse assortment of more than 20 vendors, the festival offers a unique shopping experience. Visitors will also have the chance to immerse themselves in Italian heritage by visiting the Italian Culture Tent.
Honoring City Commitment: An integral part of the festival's tradition involves the crowning of a King and Queen by the Little Italy business community. This distinguished honor recognizes their remarkable dedication and service to the city of Schenectady. This year, Taylor Rao and Jack Carpenter from Two Button Deep have been chosen as recipients of this esteemed accolade. A ceremonial event will take center stage during the festival to mark this special occasion.
Musical Delights: The festival's Main Stage will play host to three captivating musical acts. Kicking off the day's performances, Grand Central Station will serenade the audience from noon to 2 p.m. The afternoon will continue to groove with The Rogues taking the stage from 2 to 5 p.m., followed by the enchanting tunes of the Mia Scirocco Trio from 5 to 8 p.m. In addition, various entertainers will be sprinkled throughout the day, gracing the South Stage with their talents.
