UK Foreign Secretary David Lammy is set to visit New Delhi to reinforce the India-UK partnership and push for a Free Trade Agreement (FTA) that benefits both nations. Beginning on Wednesday, Lammy will meet with India's external affairs minister S Jaishankar and commerce minister Piyush Goyal to drive forward growth and economic security.
The FTA negotiations, which started in January 2022, are a key focus of Lammy’s visit. He aims to strengthen the relationship with India, highlighting shared interests in green transition, new technologies, and global security.
