UK's Grand Presence Largest Delegation at Bengal Global Business Summit

 A significant milestone is anticipated at the upcoming Bengal Global Business Summit (BGBS), as the United Kingdom prepares to unleash its "largest-ever" delegation during the event scheduled for November 21-22.

The British Deputy High Commission revealed that a diverse 55-member delegation comprising representatives from various businesses and institutions will be the standard-bearers for the UK at BGBS in Kolkata.Alex Ellis, the British High Commissioner to India, expressed anticipation about leading this historic delegation and underscored the summit's potential to foster growth for British businesses in Bengal and reciprocally enhance the footprint of Bengal-based companies in the UK.Among the notable companies joining the delegation are tech firms such as Teknobuilt, AirNode, SmartViz, Xworks Tech, Hy-Met Limited, Cambridge Carbon Capture, and GreenEnco, alongside established engineering entities like Mott Macdonald. This diverse representation signifies the depth and breadth of the UK's business engagement with Bengal.Dr. Andrew Fleming, British Deputy High Commissioner to East and Northeast India, emphasized the commitment to realizing the goals outlined in the UK-India 2030 Roadmap, aiming to transform trade and investment dynamics between the two nations.Comparatively, the 2022 edition of BGBS witnessed 49 senior figures from the UK participating in the state's premier annual event, indicative of the growing interest collaboration between the UK and Bengal. The upcoming summit holds promise for furthering seeconomic ties and aligning with the shared aspirations of both regions.
