Urso Proposes Tax Incentives for Firms Returning to Italy.

03 Jan, 2024

The Italian government, led by Business and Made in Italy Minister Adolfo Urso, is actively promoting the return of firms to Italy by offering enticing tax breaks.

In a recent newspaper interview, Urso highlighted the government's commitment to enhancing domestic production, deeming it a key objective. According to the minister, companies opting to bring their production lines back to Italy stand to benefit significantly, enjoying a substantial 50% reduction in taxes.

Urso emphasized the government's determination to boost the national economy through incentivizing local production. The proposed tax incentives serve as a strategic initiative to encourage firms to repatriate their operations, aligning with the broader economic goals of the administration.

Furthermore, Urso announced a bold stance against companies offshoring their activities. In a statement on Saturday, he declared the intention to eliminate government aid for such companies, signaling a clear shift in policy. This move aims to discourage offshoring practices and reinforce the government's commitment to fostering a robust and resilient domestic business environment. As Italy seeks to revitalize its industrial landscape, these measures signal a proactive approach to attract and support businesses that choose to invest in the country's economic growth.
