Global air and travel services provider, dnata, is joining forces with Virgin Atlantic, a UK-based airline, to facilitate the airline's highly awaited comeback to Dubai during the upcoming winter season.
dnata Representation Services has been chosen to serve as the airline's General Sales Agent (GSA) in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). This partnership will establish a local infrastructure in the UAE for sales, marketing, and distribution support, offering a comprehensive range of travel services for Virgin Atlantic customers traveling to and from Dubai. dnata's services will play a crucial role in supporting the airline as it prepares to recommence flights between London Heathrow (LHR) and Dubai International (DXB) this month.
Customers can now book their flights, with operations scheduled from October 30, 2023, to March 2024. The service will be available four times a week during this seasonal period.
Simon Woodford, Vice President of Global Air Services at dnata Travel Group, expressed his enthusiasm, stating, "dnata Representation Services previously served as Virgin Atlantic's GSA in the UAE, and we are thrilled to collaborate with this dynamic airline as it returns to Dubai. Our experienced team is committed to supporting Virgin Atlantic in achieving its business objectives and growth plans. The UAE continues to be a top choice for UK travelers."
Liezl Gericke, Head of International at Virgin Atlantic, shared her excitement, saying, "We've long awaited the right time to return to Dubai, and we know our customers will be thrilled with the reintroduction of this popular route. There's nothing quite like the joy of exploring a new destination or revisiting an old favorite. We eagerly look forward to welcoming our customers back on board, whether they're traveling for business, leisure, or to reconnect with friends and family in the United Kingdom."
This new service is set to provide seamless connections and a consistent long-haul onboard experience for customers connecting from Dubai through London Heathrow to various destinations throughout North America. These destinations are accessible through both the Virgin Atlantic and Delta networks and include cities like New York, Seattle, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, and San Francisco.
The new route will be served by the airline's Boeing 787-9 aircraft, featuring 31 Upper Class, 35 Premium, and 192 Economy seats in the Delight, Classic, and Light categories. Return Economy Class fares will start at AED 2,050 per person, ensuring a seamless and comfortable travel experience for passengers.
