Air France and SNCF Extend Train + Air Service Collaboration

Air France and SNCF Expand Train + Air Program with Eight New Routes

Air France and SNCF, the French rail operator, have expanded their collaborative Train + Air program, introducing eight new routes. This initiative combines train and air travel into a single ticket, providing passengers with seamless connectivity between rail stations and Paris airports.

The longstanding partnership between Air France and SNCF has grown to include a total of 41 routes, offering travelers a convenient and integrated travel experience. The latest additions to the Train + Air program involve travel from 22 regional rail stations in France to the Charles de Gaulle (CDG) and Orly airports in Paris.

The newly added routes, all connecting via Massy TGV station, include journeys from Arras to CDG and Orly, Laval to CDG and Orly, Lille-Flandres to CDG and Orly, Perpignan to CDG, and Aix-en-Provence to Orly.

The Train + Air service incorporates a digital check-in process for all eligible routes to the designated railway stations. Passengers benefit from a streamlined experience, receiving an email notification 30 hours before departure. This email includes separate links to collect their SNCF train ticket and complete the check-in process through the Air France website.

This collaborative effort aims to enhance the overall travel experience for passengers, offering flexibility and connectivity between different modes of transportation. The Train + Air program is designed to facilitate smoother transitions for travelers, especially those commuting from regional areas to major airports in Paris.

The partnership acknowledges the importance of a comprehensive and integrated travel network, recognizing that passengers often rely on a combination of train and air travel for their journeys. By expanding the Train + Air program, Air France and SNCF continue to adapt to evolving travel needs, providing passengers with more options and seamless connections.

The Train + Air initiative aligns with the broader trend in the transportation industry to create synergies between various modes of travel, offering passengers more flexibility and reducing the stress associated with transfers between trains and flights. This collaborative approach contributes to the overall efficiency and sustainability of the transportation network.

As the travel landscape evolves, partnerships like the one between Air France and SNCF exemplify the industry's commitment to innovation and meeting the changing needs of passengers. The expansion of the Train + Air program reflects a shared vision of creating a more interconnected and user-friendly travel experience, making it easier for individuals to navigate their journeys seamlessly.

In conclusion, the addition of eight new routes to the Train + Air program by Air France and SNCF represents a significant step toward providing passengers with enhanced connectivity, convenience, and flexibility in their travel arrangements. This collaborative effort reinforces the commitment to an integrated transportation network, catering to the evolving preferences of modern travelers.
