Ashok Nair has been appointed as the Senior Vice President and Head of Sales & Business Development for the Americas region at Waaree Energies, a prominent solar energy solutions provider. In his new role, Nair will spearhead sales and business development initiatives for Waaree Energies in the Americas, overseeing a diverse portfolio of projects exceeding 5 GW in the United States. His responsibilities include fortifying the company's foothold as the largest Indian PV exporter and one of the top 5 PV suppliers in the United States.

Under Nair's leadership, Waaree Energies recently secured a significant contract to deliver 220 MW of solar modules for an upcoming project by Sprng Energy in Gujarat, India. Renowned as India's leading manufacturer of solar PV modules, Waaree Energies boasts an impressive installed capacity of 12 GW as of June 30, 2023. Moreover, the company is strategically expanding its operations by establishing a solar PV module manufacturing facility in the United States through its US arm, with plans to develop a 5 GW solar cell and module facility.
