Business France Hosts French Clean Energy Days 2024, Strengthening Indo-French Partnerships

18 Nov, 2024

Business France is excited to announce the launch of the French Clean Energy Days, running from November 18th to 22nd, 2024. This highly anticipated event will showcase a delegation of French companies focusing on nuclear power and energy efficiency solutions. As the official country partner at the Nuclear Business Platform (NBP) event in Mumbai, France is poised to demonstrate its leadership in nuclear energy. The event will offer a platform for French and Indian businesses to explore collaboration and growth opportunities in these crucial sectors.

The French Clean Energy Days will feature a range of activities, including networking sessions, B2B meetings, and site visits to key players in the nuclear sector. These interactions will facilitate the exchange of technical insights and knowledge, fostering strategic partnerships that support energy transition goals for both countries. Her Excellency Mrs. Bermann, Former Ambassador of France and President of the World Nuclear Exhibition (WNE), will participate in the event. This visit presents a unique opportunity to strengthen the link between the French and Indian nuclear supply chains and highlight India's growing role in the global nuclear industry.

The World Nuclear Exhibition, set to take place in Paris from November 4–6, 2025, will be 20% larger than its 2023 edition, which attracted 23,600 visitors and 780 exhibitors. Estelle David, Director of Business France India, emphasized the significance of the event in deepening the collaboration between France and India in the clean energy sector, highlighting France's extensive expertise in this field.

Several leading French companies, such as Axon' Cables, EDF, and Nuvia, will participate in the French Clean Energy Days, bringing forward innovations in nuclear energy, energy efficiency, and digital transformation solutions. Supported by key industry partners including EDF and Lauritz Knudsen, the event aims to drive forward India's clean energy ambitions.

With a strong focus on nuclear energy, France has become a global leader in clean energy, operating 57 nuclear reactors domestically and 120 internationally. EDF is a key player in India's energy transition, contributing to both renewable energy projects and nuclear power plant initiatives such as the Jaitapur Nuclear Power Plant. Lauritz Knudsen’s expertise in electrical and automation solutions will also play a significant role in advancing India’s clean energy infrastructure.

The French Clean Energy Days represent a pivotal milestone in Indo-French collaboration, strengthening business ties, and accelerating progress toward clean energy goals. By fostering joint ventures and promoting technological innovation, this initiative will help both nations achieve their sustainability and decarbonization objectives.

Business France, a public agency supporting the international growth of the French economy, is instrumental in facilitating this event, fostering export-led growth, and promoting foreign investment in France.
