Canon U.S.A., based in Melville, has forged a new alliance with the Ryan Seacrest Foundation, enhancing their commitment to pediatric care. This collaboration entails Canon supplying digital essentials like cameras, lenses, and printers to Seacrest Studios, spanning 14 pediatric hospitals nationwide, including one in Long Island.
The Ryan Seacrest Foundation, a registered non-profit, aspires to inspire youth through entertainment and educational endeavors. At the heart of their mission lies Seacrest Studios, broadcasting hubs tailored to encourage pediatric patients to explore their creativity via radio, television, and new media. These studios aim to foster a positive environment within hospital communities, aiding in the healing process for young patients and their families.
Canon U.S.A.'s President and CEO, Isao “Sammy” Kobayashi, expressed pride in the partnership, emphasizing the alignment between Canon's imaging expertise and the foundation's mission. He anticipates the uplifting content that will emerge from this collaboration, showcasing the talents of young patients, interns, and studio teams.
Meredith Seacrest Leach, Executive Director of the Ryan Seacrest Foundation, echoed Kobayashi's sentiments, lauding Canon's contribution of cutting-edge equipment. This donation enables Seacrest Studios to capture high-quality content and provides invaluable hands-on experience for patients and staff alike.
Furthermore, Canon's support extends beyond the initial donation, with plans to furnish future studio openings and update existing facilities with state-of-the-art equipment. This includes Canon EOS R Full-Frame Mirrorless Cameras and a range of high-end Canon RF L-Series Lenses, alongside desktop and compact photo printers, empowering young patients to explore their creative potential.
