Energica, a renowned electric motorcycle manufacturer, has secured a significant contract with UGAP (Union des groupements d’Achats Publics), France's foremost public central purchasing organization.
The contract, which was released in November 2022, was aimed at providing two- and three-wheeled vehicles to various public entities, including French law enforcement agencies. Specifically, Energica emerged as the chosen supplier for electric "road trail" motorcycles with over 8kW of power.
Under this agreement, Energica will deliver its Experia model in three versions: the standard variant (unmarked police bike), National Police, and Gendarmerie editions. The Experia Green Tourer is a specially adapted model, originally developed for the Indonesian National Police for the 2022 G20 Bali Summit.
Livia Cevolini, CEO of Energica Motor, expressed pride in the trust placed in their company by the French central purchasing body, emphasizing the significance of this partnership. She noted that the French government is actively promoting electric vehicle adoption in preparation for the upcoming Olympics, and Energica is honored to contribute to this transition.
Energica will collaborate with Durisotti SAS, known for its expertise in custom builds, and SARL Tendance Roadster, the first Energica dealer established in France in 2017, to manufacture and supply these electric motorcycles.
Giacomo Leone, Energica's sales director, mentioned that each Experia can be tailored to suit the specific requirements of local law enforcement agencies, including color schemes and the installation of necessary equipment, lighting, radios, and sirens.
Guillaume Tirard, Managing Director of Tendance Roadster, expressed their delight at being selected by UGAP, acknowledging it as a testament to the years of hard work they've invested. They eagerly anticipate embarking on this new and exciting journey.
