Honeywell Secures $2 Billion Deal to Acquire Aerospace and Defense Firm CAES Systems

Honeywell has announced an agreement to purchase CAES Systems, a leading aerospace and defense technology company, for around $2 billion from private equity firm Advent International. This acquisition, an all-cash transaction, represents Honeywell’s second major purchase in recent months aimed at enhancing its aerospace technologies division.

Formerly known as Cobham Advanced Electronic Solutions, CAES specializes in the design, development, and testing of advanced electronics, such as antenna systems and communication networks, for the aerospace and defense sectors. This acquisition will significantly boost Honeywell's capabilities in delivering cutting-edge solutions to its aerospace and defense customers.

The acquisition aligns with Honeywell’s strategy to expand its presence in the aerospace and defense markets. By incorporating CAES Systems' advanced technologies, Honeywell seeks to meet the growing demand for sophisticated aerospace solutions and maintain a strong competitive position in these high-growth industries.

The transaction is expected to be finalized by the end of the year, subject to regulatory approvals and customary closing conditions. Both Honeywell and Advent International have yet to comment on the deal. This acquisition highlights Honeywell's commitment to innovation and growth in the aerospace and defense sectors, positioning the company for continued success.
