Skanska USA Building Unveils Excellence in Construction Leadership Program

Skanska USA Building, a renowned leader in sustainable construction, proudly introduces its Excellence in Construction Leadership Program (ECLP). This executive-level initiative, driven by nominations, aims to unite Skanska USA Building’s leadership with executives from diverse local businesses, fostering inclusivity throughout the construction industry supply chain. ECLP pioneers nationwide peer-to-peer collaborations with trade partners, an unprecedented move in the construction sector, inspired by the success of Skanska’s Construction Management Building Blocks Program (CMBB).

Joycelyn Yue, National Director of Supplier Diversity at Skanska USA Building, emphasizes the program's role in fortifying community bonds. ECLP participants gain access to invaluable resources and connections, nurturing business growth and industry diversity.

Spanning all 16 Skanska USA Building offices, ECLP selects participants based on their alignment with company values, leadership potential, local market success, client relationships, and community engagement. Annual in-person sessions facilitate relationship building among peers and Skanska leadership, empowering participants to strengthen ties in their local markets.

ECLP extends Skanska’s commitment to subcontractor development, leveraging CMBB’s success since 2007. Over 800 companies have participated, collectively securing over $740M in contracts on Skanska projects. Through comprehensive training, diverse-owned companies enhance their business acumen, fostering mutually beneficial relationships with Skanska and enhancing their strategic partnerships with clients and communities.
