Top US firms have pledged to strengthen their partnership with Bangladesh, aiming to enhance the growing economic collaboration between the two nations. During a high-level meeting with Bangladesh’s Chief Adviser Dr. Mashiur Rahman, senior executives from leading American companies expressed a strong commitment to fostering investment, trade, and economic development. The meeting highlighted Bangladesh’s strategic importance as a rising economic player in South Asia, with the US recognizing its role as a key partner in regional stability and global supply chains.

Representatives from major US companies such as Chevron, Excelerate Energy, Meta, and Boeing took part in the discussion. They emphasized the need for transparent regulatory frameworks, ease of doing business, and long-term policy consistency to attract sustained American investment. The delegation praised Bangladesh’s progress in infrastructure, digital transformation, and industrial development, signaling their intent to explore new ventures across energy, aviation, ICT, and other sectors.

Chief Adviser Dr. Mashiur Rahman reassured investors of the government’s ongoing efforts to improve the business climate and promote inclusive growth. He welcomed US interest in supporting Bangladesh’s transition from a least developed country to a middle-income nation, while noting the importance of diversified investments that create jobs and build local capacity. He encouraged more US companies to engage in sectors like education, healthcare, green energy, and innovation to strengthen bilateral ties.

The conversation also touched on policy reforms, sustainability, and shared goals around digital innovation and environmental responsibility. Both sides acknowledged the importance of deepening public-private collaboration to tackle global challenges and unlock mutual economic benefits. The meeting underscored a shared vision for a stronger, forward-looking Bangladesh-US partnership, grounded in trust, mutual respect, and economic opportunity. This commitment reflects a renewed push to scale up cooperation and position Bangladesh as a thriving destination for American business and strategic engagement.
