CREDAI-MCHI, the leading real estate association in Mumbai Metropolitan Region, is collaborating with Japan's Ministry of Urban Development, Buildings and Housing, and the Japan Building Centre to foster cross-border knowledge transfer and business collaboration. This joint agreement aims to boost business, investment, and partnerships in the MMR real estate sector. The agreement, currently in its preliminary negotiation phase, is expected to be finalized by October 2024.
A Japanese delegation visited CREDAI-MCHI members on August 22 to review construction management techniques and explore potential areas of collaboration. The partnership will culminate in a joint event planned for November, which will be organized with the support of the Japan Embassy in India. This event will showcase opportunities for Japanese and Indian stakeholders to engage and explore partnerships, bringing Japanese expertise to Indian real estate projects.
CREDAI-MCHI's COO, Keval Valambhia, emphasized the significance of integrating Japan's advanced technologies and sustainable practices to elevate real estate standards in MMR. This initiative aims to enhance innovation, quality, and long-term partnerships. The association is also seeking support from the Maharashtra government to further this initiative. The collaboration will focus on incorporating advanced construction techniques, smart building technologies, and sustainable urban development practices into the MMR real estate sector.
