In a significant stride towards fostering bilateral business ties, the recent Indo-Japan Business Council (IJBC) organized a week-long IT and ITeS Business Delegation to Japan IT Week in Tokyo, culminating in resounding success. Comprising 10 C-level executives from Mumbai, Pune, Ahmedabad, and Delhi, the delegation played a pivotal role in advancing economic collaboration between India and Japan. Japan IT Week, the country’s largest IT exhibition held at Tokyo Big Sight from April 23 to April 25, attracted over 900 exhibitors worldwide, including a notable representation from India.
Tokyo Big Sight, Japan’s premier international exhibition center, served as an ideal venue for interaction and innovation during the delegation's visit from April 21 to April 27. Immersed in Japan’s rich cultural milieu and vibrant business landscape, delegates engaged with industry experts and seized opportunities at IT Week, enhancing their professional growth and understanding of Japan’s market dynamics. Sudhir Jaiswal, a delegate, expressed enthusiasm at witnessing Indian IT services/solutions companies actively pursuing business prospects in Japan among the extensive exhibitors.
Siddharth Deshmukh, President of the IJBC, highlighted the delegation’s significance in reinforcing Indo-Japan economic relations and emphasized the untapped potential for collaboration in the IT and ITeS sectors. As the IJBC reaffirms its commitment to fostering meaningful connections between Indian entrepreneurs and Japan’s dynamic market, it plans to organize more such delegations, with the upcoming October 2024 Business Delegation presenting a unique opportunity to further deepen Indo-Japan business relations.
