Sinch and Singtel Launch Singapore's First RCS Business Messaging Service

Sinch, a leader in global client communication, has partnered with Singtel to introduce the first Rich Communication Services (RCS) Business Messaging (RBM) service in Singapore. This partnership marks a significant milestone, offering businesses in Singapore an advanced platform for secure, branded messaging directly within consumers' native mobile inboxes.

RCS enhances traditional SMS with interactive features, branded messages, and advanced analytics, such as delivery receipts. This allows businesses to engage with customers in richer, more dynamic ways. According to Wendy Johnstone, Sinch’s Vice President of APAC, the integration of RCS is poised to revolutionize messaging by providing businesses with new ways to connect with customers across all devices, especially with the recent support for RCS in iOS 18.

Terence Lai, Vice President of Digitalization at Singtel, highlights that RCS messaging offers a more immersive experience, seamlessly integrating into customers' digital lifestyles. This enables businesses to build stronger relationships with their customers and enhance brand loyalty.

Sinch’s Client Communications Cloud provides comprehensive APIs and a user-friendly RCS campaign builder, facilitating a smooth transition from SMS to RCS. The company’s RCS Upscale solution ensures continuity by maintaining SMS as a backup channel.

Singapore is the first Southeast Asian country to receive RBM services from Sinch, joining other global markets such as the US, France, Germany, and the UK that are already utilizing Sinch’s RCS solutions to boost customer engagement.
