For the first time in five years, the Ministry of Economy of Ukraine and the Japan Business Federation Keidanren convened the ninth joint meeting in Tokyo. This significant event saw active participation from Ukrainian and Japanese businesses, marking a renewed commitment to fostering mutual economic ties. The meeting was a critical step in strengthening the collaboration between the two nations, especially in light of ongoing global challenges.

As reported by the Ministry of Economy and Ukrinform, this milestone meeting reflects both countries' shared vision for economic growth and development. The discussions emphasized enhancing bilateral relations and creating opportunities for businesses in both nations. Such initiatives aim to bolster Ukraine’s economic recovery and contribute to Japan’s international cooperation goals.

A key highlight of the event was the signing of a memorandum by Yulia Svyrydenko, First Vice Prime Minister and Minister of Economy of Ukraine, and Fumiya Kokubu, Chairman of the Keidanren Committee on Cooperation with Ukraine. This memorandum outlines plans to expand and sustain cooperation, focusing on supporting Ukraine’s post-war recovery. It also seeks to establish frameworks for long-term partnerships in various sectors, ensuring benefits for both nations’ economies.

The meeting represents a significant milestone in Ukraine-Japan relations, reaffirming their commitment to mutual support and cooperation. As both countries work toward shared economic goals, this collaboration is expected to bring innovative solutions and expanded opportunities in trade and investment.
