99x Strengthens Global Reach Through Acquisitions in Portugal and Brazil

October marked a significant move for 99x as the company continued its global expansion by finalizing the acquisitions of Cleverti in Portugal and LeanOn Systems in Brazil.

Cleverti, situated in Portugal, serves as a nearshore software services provider with over 90 dedicated professionals offering a comprehensive range of software development, DevOps, and QA testing solutions across 14 European countries. They cater to companies in mature markets such as the UK, Germany, and Scandinavia, supporting digital applications.

LeanOn Systems in Brazil comprises more than 60 employees focusing on mobile and web development, DevOps, and AI/ML, specifically targeting the Nordic and US markets.

These acquisitions align with 99x's strategy to expand globally, offering services that necessitate a nearshore presence, especially concerning privacy issues like GDPR. The move also establishes a local presence for 99x across Brazil, Norway, Portugal, Sri Lanka, and Malaysia, granting clients access to talent across various geographies and time zones, as highlighted by 99x Founder Mano Sekaram.

Hasith Yaggahavita, Chief Engineering & Innovation Officer of 99x, emphasized that this expansion opens opportunities for staff to work overseas, gain exposure, and evolve as global professionals. He noted the positive trend of several team members taking on new roles in regions like Norway and Malaysia over the past year.

Originally founded in Sri Lanka, 99x operates as a global product engineering company, collaborating to innovate digital products specifically tailored for the Scandinavian market.
