Accenture Acquires ON Service Group, a Specialized Insurance Company in Germany

Accenture has expanded its capabilities in the insurance sector through the acquisition of ON Service Group. Headquartered in Siegburg, with additional offices in Hamburg and Munich, ON Service Group boasts over two decades of experience in providing operational services for property and casualty, life, and health insurance processes, with a dedicated team of approximately 200 professionals.

Following this acquisition, the ON Service Group team will be seamlessly integrated into Accenture's Operations business unit, which offers managed services for business processes and technology. Tanja Mertin, who leads Accenture Operations in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland, emphasized the benefits of managed services, stating that they allow businesses to access digital capabilities, process expertise, and specialized talent, enabling them to deliver scalable outcomes.

Christina Raab, market unit lead for Accenture in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland, pointed out the numerous challenges faced by insurance companies, including evolving customer expectations, complex regulatory requirements, and skills shortages. With the addition of ON Service Group, Accenture can now provide end-to-end services, extending its consulting and technology offerings to encompass managed services.

This strategic acquisition, whose financial terms remain undisclosed, aligns with Accenture's ongoing M&A efforts in Europe, which have seen the integration of other companies like Objectivity, Einr, Optimind, and SKS Group earlier this year.
