The German National Tourist Board (GNTB) celebrates the outstanding success of Germany Travel Mart (GTM) 360°, which saw 150 international travel professionals engage in over 3,200 productive meetings with 129 tourism companies and organizations through GNTB’s advanced online booking system.
An on-site survey revealed that 87% of attendees were satisfied or highly satisfied with their experience, while 98% successfully established valuable business connections. Additionally, 85% of participants expressed strong interest in attending future GTM events. The GTM continues to be a premier global platform for networking, collaboration, and exploring new tourism trends. Key topics of discussion this year included sustainable tourism, digital advancements, and cross-cultural partnerships, reinforcing Germany’s position as a leading travel destination.
Premium partners for GTM 2025 included Dorint Hotels Betriebs GmbH and Deutsche Lufthansa AG, with Sixt SE as a mobility services partner. These partnerships highlight the event’s growing influence in the international travel and tourism sector.
As the 51st GTM concluded, Petra Hedorfer, CEO of the GNTB, awarded the GTM trophy to Rainer Suhr, Head of Tourism and Marketing at OWT Oberhausener Tourismus- und Wirtschaftsförderung GmbH. Oberhausen, located in the Ruhr area, will host the 52nd GTM from April 19-21, 2026. With its rich industrial heritage and cultural vibrancy, Oberhausen is set to offer an unforgettable experience, further strengthening Germany’s global tourism standing.
The event will spotlight the region’s green redevelopment and the upcoming International Garden Exhibition Ruhr 2027, making it an attractive destination for international travelers. The GNTB’s innovative GTM 360° format ensures continued success, driving business growth and enhancing Germany’s appeal as a top travel destination.
