Cyient DLM Expands Strategic Partnership With Germany's Deutsche Aircraft

Germany’s regional aircraft manufacturer Deutsche Aircraft has expanded its strategic partnership with Cyient DLM, a leading Indian electronics manufacturing services company. This collaboration will see Cyient DLM taking on the design, development, and manufacturing of the Cabin Management System (CMS) for Deutsche Aircraft’s upcoming D328eco, a next-generation 40-seater regional turboprop aircraft. The move aligns with Deutsche Aircraft’s vision to incorporate global expertise while fostering innovation in sustainable and efficient aviation technologies.

The D328eco is a modern evolution of the proven Dornier 328 platform, and its development emphasizes environmental responsibility and advanced passenger comfort. The newly developed CMS, to be fully produced in India, will be among Deutsche Aircraft’s first electronics systems entirely designed and built outside Europe. This reflects the company's commitment to international collaboration and cost-effective, high-quality engineering.

The CMS will feature an intuitive touchscreen interface enabling cabin crew and passengers to control key in-flight functions such as lighting, passenger signage, and lavatory systems. The system supports improved well-being by offering adaptable lighting environments tailored to different passenger activities, such as working or relaxing.

By working with Cyient DLM, Deutsche Aircraft is leveraging global expertise in avionics and electronics systems to elevate the passenger experience while maintaining the rigorous safety and performance standards expected in German aviation. The CMS will be developed using modular and scalable architecture, integrated with advanced display and control electronics, ensuring flexibility and future upgrade potential.
