Ant Group Reveals New Singapore Office and Introduces Foundation

Ant Group has unveiled its new Singapore office, signifying a significant step in the expansion of its international business and technology segments, including Ant International. In conjunction with this milestone, Ant Group has also introduced the Ant International Foundation (AIF), which will concentrate on emerging issues surrounding environmental protection, digital inclusion for underserved communities, and the development of digital leadership and talents.

Eric Jing, Chairman, and CEO of Ant Group, emphasized the company's strong commitment to Singapore, underlining the nation's pivotal role in the international development of Ant Group. Jing stated, "Today, people everywhere are looking for new pathways to inclusive and sustainable growth. We will give our best to help realize the promise of digital technologies to bring small and beautiful changes to every small business and every community we serve."

The inauguration of the new office and the launch of AIF were honored by Lew Chuen Hong, Chief Executive of the Infocomm Media Development Authority (IMDA). He highlighted the robust partnership between Ant Group and IMDA, spanning areas such as trust technologies, digital inclusion, and the joint construction of resilient digital ecosystems.

Ant International welcomed esteemed guests from both the public and private sectors, including Patrick Tay, Member of Parliament for Pioneer Single Member Constituency (SMC), and Assistant Secretary-General of the National Trades Union Congress (NTUC).

In addition to these announcements, Ant International pledged to bolster its investments in Singapore, particularly in cutting-edge technologies aimed at enhancing trust and efficiency in digital commerce. These investments encompass privacy-preserving computing and innovations related to Web 3.0. Ant Group actively participates in the IMDA Privacy-Enhancing Technologies sandbox and collaborates with Singapore's Nanyang Technological University (NTU) in research focused on privacy computing. This research falls under the purview of the Strategic Centre for Research in Privacy-Preserving Technologies & Systems (SCRIPTS), an initiative jointly funded by IMDA and the National Research Foundation.

Ant Group also engages in a collaborative effort with IMDA to promote "Tech for Good," encouraging sustainable digital consumption practices grounded in carbon reduction techniques and frameworks. This multifaceted approach underscores Ant Group's commitment to Singapore's development as a hub for innovative digital solutions that address pressing global challenges.
