BASF Introduces xarvio® Agro Experts Program in Brazil to Enhance Adoption of Digital Farming Technologies

BASF has unveiled an innovative initiative in Brazil that establishes a connection between independent agronomic consultancies and farmers through the advanced Xarvio FIELD MANAGER crop optimization platform. This unique program, known as Xarvio Agro Experts, empowers agronomic consultancies by granting them access to existing Xarvio solutions tailored for optimizing productivity in soybean, corn, and cotton cultivation. The program facilitates an expansion of their digital farming expertise and services, delivering enhanced value to their operations. Additionally, it ensures farmers can receive on-site assistance in utilizing Xarvio FIELD MANAGER and compatible technologies like drones, weather station devices, and machinery terminals.

The Xarvio Agro Experts program exemplifies BASF's dedication to transforming agriculture through accessible digital technologies, removing adoption hurdles. Konstantin Kretschun, BASF Digital Farming's Global Head, emphasizes, "Our xarvio Agro Experts initiative in Brazil reinforces this strategy, empowering farmers and consultants to embrace and benefit from digital farming technologies like xarvio FIELD MANAGER."

The journey to becoming a Xarvio Agro Expert requires accredited agronomic consultancies to hold valid agronomic certifications relevant to their operational area. They are also mandated to complete specialized theoretical and practical training encompassing xarvio FIELD MANAGER and digital agriculture. This comprehensive training, inclusive of drone operation and regulations, is delivered by BASF. Successful completion of this training equips agronomic consultancies to establish themselves as xarvio Agro Experts and extend xarvio products to their existing clientele.

The pioneering xarvio Agro Experts program is currently being implemented across eight Brazilian states, with the active participation of locally trained agronomic consultancies. BASF has plans to introduce the initiative to other markets, further amplifying its impact on modernizing the agricultural sector through precision digital farming technologies.
