CDS Group Expands Into German Market with Acquisition of Corporate Rates Club

French hotel booking platform CDS Groupe has announced its expansion into the German market through the acquisition of Corporate Rates Club, a corporate accommodations provider based in Stralsund. Corporate Rates Club operates its own hotel booking portal and integrates with online booking tools to offer accommodations. Following the acquisition, Corporate Rates Club will continue to function as an autonomous unit within CDS Groupe, with no changes to its management or structure disclosed in the agreement.

While the specific financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed, this move aligns with CDS Groupe's broader strategy of international expansion. It follows their acquisition of Rydoo's travel platform the previous year. With the addition of Corporate Rates Club, CDS Groupe's annual hotel spending by corporate and travel management company clients now totals €800 million.

CDS Groupe CEO Ziad Minkara expressed his enthusiasm for the acquisition's role in bolstering the company's international presence, which now spans France, Italy, Poland, Germany, and Croatia. The expansion enhances their relationships with both customers and suppliers, ultimately strengthening their product offerings in each region.
