Car Chilli and LyloDrive have formed a strategic partnership to enrich the car-sharing landscape in Singapore. Car Chilli, a recent entrant to the Singaporean car-sharing market, has experienced significant app usage growth since its launch. In response, the collaboration with LyloDrive aims to extend their on-demand vehicle rental options to a broader user base across the city-state.
As part of the partnership, LyloDrive will integrate a selection of its short-term rental fleet into the Car Chilli app, providing users with a more diverse range of vehicles for short-term rentals. Nelson Lee, CEO of Car Chilli, expressed excitement about the expanded fleet, emphasizing the enhanced service coverage and increased accessibility across various locations in Singapore.
Car Chilli reciprocates by offering its users access to LyloDrive's extensive range of vehicles, verifying details through SingPass for immediate access to short-term rental options. The added vehicles strategically stationed across public parking locations in Singapore will contribute to nationwide accessibility and availability of short-term and on-demand rental options.
The phased implementation of the partnership begins with 100 cars on the Car Chilli app, with plans to expand to 300 vehicles in the coming months. The collaboration aligns with Car Chilli's ambitious goal of reaching 1,000 vehicles available across Singapore by the end of 2024.
Car Chilli is a Singapore-based car-sharing marketplace connecting rental companies with users for flexible and affordable short-term rentals. A spin-off from a successful car rental company with over a decade of operation, Car Chilli boasts a customer base of over 5,000 and a fleet of 100+ cars.
Lylo, born in 2020, evolved into a comprehensive mobility service ecosystem, responding to the changing demands in the ride-hailing industry. LyloDrive, launched in June, offers short-term car rental solutions prioritizing convenience for mobility users.
