The inaugural China-Romania business roundtable took place in Bucharest, attracting over 100 representatives from the Chinese and Romanian governments, enterprises, and institutions. This event marks a significant milestone, coinciding with the 75th anniversary of diplomatic relations between China and Romania.
In his address, Song Xianmao, the counselor in charge of business affairs at the Chinese Embassy in Romania, emphasized the growth in bilateral trade and investment over the years. He noted the active participation of Chinese enterprises in Romania's development and their substantial contributions to the economy. Song urged both nations to enhance their cooperation and promote sustainable economic and trade ties.
Former Romanian Prime Minister Viorica Dancila echoed these sentiments, highlighting the importance of strengthening exchanges between businesses to foster bilateral trade growth. The roundtable was co-hosted by the Romanian Chinese Enterprises Association and the Romania-China Chamber of Commerce and Industry, providing a platform for dialogue and collaboration.
The event aims to deepen relationships and create new opportunities for cooperation between Chinese and Romanian businesses, ultimately contributing to the sustainable development of both economies. The discussions signify a commitment to fostering long-term partnerships and enhancing trade relations between the two nations.
